Walks and hikes
The "sentier des douaniers" (or GR34) offers a magnificent walk from Minaouet to Mousterlin, with over 30km of varied coastline to discover between land and sea.
Between coves, sandy beaches, cliffs and marshes, you'll come across an extremely rich fauna and flora.
Along the way, you'll also come across monuments such as the fortress of Le Cabellou, the walled town and some beautiful mansions. The local oyster farmers will invite you to a seaside tasting at the bend of a cove.
In addition to the GR34, you can stroll along the Odet, "the most beautiful river in France" according to Guillaume Apollinaire, discover the Penfoulic ponds, scour the Glénan archipelago or take the chapel tour.
Sailing and water sports
The marina and nautical center of La Forêt-Fouesnant offer a wide range of sailing activities, from beach dinghies to catamarans and houseboats.
You'll also find plenty of opportunities for board sports such as kite surfing and windsurfing at the many spots nearby.
You can also discover the bay's many coves by paddle, kayak or small motorboat, available for hire.
Canoeing
Take a canoe trip down the Odet from Bénodet or Quimper, depending on the tide (return shuttles available when you rent).
This river, dotted with rhododendrons, grey herons and magnificent castles, is well worth a visit. Legend has it that the Vikings turned back at porz Meillou, thinking the river led to no city.
From Pont-Aven town center or Port Manech, take a trip along the Aven or Belon rivers, which lead to the sea. Windmills, castles and a multitude of birds will be your travel companions.
